Consorzio Vini Venezia

The Consorzio Vini Venezia was founded in 2011 by the viticulturists of the Consorzio Volontario Tutela Vini DOC Lison Pramaggiore and Consorzio Tutela Vini del Piave DOC to pool their energies and more strongly protect and enhance their production, optimizing the resources and having a more structured organization available, capable of responding to new requirements under the related legislation.

The Consorzio Volontario per la Tutela dei Vini of the Denominazioni di Origine Controllata "Venezia", "Lison-Pramaggiore", "Piave", as well as of the Denominazioni di Origine Controllata e Garantita "Lison" and "Malanotte del Piave", abbreviated to "Consorzio Vini Venezia", derived from the merger of the Consorzio Volontario Tutela Vini DOC Lison Pramaggiore and the Consorzio Tutela Vini del Piave DOC and proposes to:

  • organize and coordinate the activities of all stakeholders in the production, processing and marketing ofproducts bearing the Names above;
  • define the implementation of government policies of the offer, in order to preserve and protect the quality of the product, and contribute to better coordination of the marketing of protected Designations, as well as develop plans for improvement of product quality;
  • coordinate the adjustment of product specifications to new or more modern requirements regarding technology, image, presentation and consumption, and present official instances to the bodies in charge;
  • perform all activities related to the application of national, EU and international legislation, regarding the products with a designation of competence;
  • carry out any activities of proposal, protection, general management in matters of discipline and regulation at a regional/national/community level, with regard to grapes, musts, wines and by-products of the wine sector, obtained in the same territory and bearing a designation of competence, with particular attention to the study and research of the wine-growing territory and vine and vineyard plants, thus also protecting the land and, therefore, monitor - even at an urban level - areas of particular value for the possible development of new vineyards;
  • establish and coordinate, as a promoter and manager, the activities and actions to enhance the rural, as well as the cultural area ​district, wine tourism and food and wine routes provided by regional, federal and community laws and standards. In addition, ensuring that the members put their wines on the market in compliance with national and international laws, the Consorzio Vini Venezia guarantees the defense of the interests of the consumers.
